Windy weather throughout California has sparked the risk of extreme fire danger, according to the Associated Press. Evacuations in Hidden Hills and all portions in the City of Los Angeles, have been revised from mandatory to voluntary.

Captain Scott McLean, from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection, said the Camp Fire had grown to almost 110 square miles after devouring the town of Paradise. Fires are spreading through multiple national forests, including the Sierra Nevada National Forest, Mendocino National Forest, Modoc National Forest, Lassen National Forest and Plumas National Forest. Winds haven't been as strong in fires in the area in the recent past.
The wildfire season previous year was one of the most destructive and costly in history. Many are from the town of Paradise that has a population of 26,000 people and is believed to be completely decimated by the flames. At least 40,000 residents were forced to evacuate in Butte County after the fire broke out early Thursday, "growing uncontrollably" at a rate of about 80 football fields per minute.
A spokesman for the hospital operator, Dignity Health, reportedly told Action News Now that Feather River was later destroyed.
"It's very chaotic", said Officer Ryan Lambert of the California Highway Patrol.
Thousands of residents just outside Los Angeles have been ordered to evacuate immediately as a massive wildfire advances, fanned by strong winds.
Some residents have evacuated to the parking lot of popular Zuma Beach. Cal Lutheran says its Thousand Oaks campus is not under evacuation orders but residential students have been put on standby.
As of Thursday evening, it was burning above Cal State University Channel Islands, in the footprint of the 2013 Springs Fire which burned 24,000 acres.
Authorities issued an unhealthy air quality alert for parts of the San Francisco Bay Area as smoke from the wildfire drifted south. "Most of the smoke is expected to remain aloft but the public will likely see and smell smoke from the quickly expanding Camp Fire".
