The processor is paired with 4GB of RAM and is only available in a 64GB storage configuration. You can expand the storage using microSD card (up to 2TB).
Moto Z3 also offers a rather uniquely placed side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
After the Android 8.1 Oreo soak test for the Moto G5 Plus, Motorola has also started pushing out the soak test for the Moto G5. The device is is splash resistant. However, the cool thing about Moto Z3 is that it is super thin and that it sells for the somewhat affordable price of $460.
On the rear, you'll find dual 12-megapixel cameras, and on the front there's an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies.
There are 17 Moto Mods you can magnetically snap onto the back of the Moto Z3, including a stereo speaker, a projector, a speaker with Amazon's Alexa built-in, a 360-degree camera, a camera lens, an extra battery pack, and a few others. Interestingly, Motorola has baked in Google Lens into the rear camera. Which is to say, the Moto Z3 doesn't have a notch, like the Apple iPhone X. Instead, it has narrow top and bottom bezels similar, to the Galaxy S9.
Back in late June, we were alerted to a new product announcement on tap for August 2 from Motorola. A 3000mAh battery completes the package. There are no Moto Mods included in the box - at least from what Motorola has said so far - unlike the Moto Z3 Play which had the PowerPack included in the box.
There is no 3.5mm audio jack, but the company is providing a 3.5mm to USB Type-C adapter.
LENOVO-OWNED Motorola has shown-off the "first" 5G-enabled smartphone.
As expected, the Moto Z3 looks identical to the Moto Z3 Play. While the phone does feature almost everything you'd expect from a premium phone in 2018 (except for the highest end processor), Motorola is instead of betting on the 5G future for its success.
Once attached, the Z3 will recognize the Mod and allow the user to transmit and receive data on Verizon's 5G mobile network. To compensate, Moto has built a 2,000mAh battery into the 5G Mod, but it remains to be seen whether that will be enough to power it though a full day of downloading and streaming.
Beyond its 5G add-on, the Moto Z3 is unlikely to get you too excited. Of course, this pricing doesn't include the 5G Moto Mod. The clip-on additional battery feature is also a bonus.
The Moto Z3, for now, will be available only in a single variant and color option - Ceramic Black for $480.
