Hollywood star George Clooney was taken to hospital after suffering minor injuries in a collision involving his motorbike and a auto, the BBC reports. It shows Clooney's scooter hitting the vehicle, as well as the actor flying into the air and hitting the ground.
George Clooney was reportedly involved in a motorbike accident Tuesday.
Surveillance video of the crash, apparently taken by a fixed security video, was obtained late Tuesday by the newspaper Corriere della Sera. The video shows what is reported as Clooney's scooter crashing into the vehicle while another scooter alongside him manages to veer around it.
He was taken to John Paul II hospital in Olbia, Italy, for his injuries, but according to NBC News, has already been discharged. Local media representatives who had gathered at the hospital said Clooney left in a van through a side exit.
Clooney was seen leaving the hospital with his wife Amal Clooney in a private auto.
The actor is fine and recovering at home.
George plays US Air Force commander Scheisskopf in the World War Two Channel 4 drama, based on Joseph Heller's classic novel.
"The auto driver called the 112, the emergency number of Carabinieri, and they sent the Municipal Police, an ambulance and the Fire Dept".
He was staying in a lush, gated rental villa in the high-end Puntaldia neighborhood on Sardinia's northeastern coast, which overlooks the Tyrrhenian Sea.
