Prior to Thanos' fatal click of his fingers, we already knew that Spider-Man would be returning for his own standalone film and he's about to swing into action in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
Tom Holland has leaked the subtitle of the next Spider-Man film, and it looks like it is right on theme with Spider-Man: Homecoming's title. Anyway, we've got a title that seemingly confirms that Aunt May's heroic nephew will be venturing way beyond Forest Hills, Queens.
After spoiler-extraordinaire Tom Holland revealed the title in an Instagram video yesterday, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has officially confirmed not only the title, but that it has multiple meanings. "So, yeah, Spider-Man 2, let's do this".
Holland, who was making an appearance at Seattle's Ace Comic-Con, released a video on his Instagram, apologizing to fans that might have been expecting big news to come out of the appearance.
I really admire Marvel for having the guts to make a movie where most of its characters die at the end, even though we all know a bunch of them have inevitable movies coming down the pike. He goes on to say he's recently received the script - which he holds up on his iPad to reveal the new title. It will be set after the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers 4.
Avengers: Infinity War is now playing in theaters! Actors Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei are also expected to reprise their respective roles.
While filming "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", Pratt a.k.a. Star-Lord ran into Holland, who was shooting "Spiderman: Homecoming" on the same lot. The film has been scheduled for a July 5, 2019 release.
