Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday led the celebrations for fourth global Yoga day across the country, describing it as the "biggest mass movement" that has shown the world the path from illness to wellness. Unlike earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was observing the occasion in Dehradun, but his absence did not appear to dampen enthusiasm, though it did help that his speech was relayed from Uttarakhand on LED screens at Rajpath. Yoga also enhances the communication level among people, he added.The Minister said, Yoga is the indicator of human index too.
"Beyond exercise and health, yoga is about life, self-awareness and a connect with your soul".
"The importance of yoga that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced worldwide is highly commendable". Modi revealed that yhoha is a force in unifying the world.
When Modi proposed June 21 as the day, he said that the given date was the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere which is considered to have special significance in many parts of the world.
However in its present-day use, yoga is often no more than a form of exercise, Michael says.
"The High Commission of #India, #Dhaka celebrated the 4th International Day of #Yoga (IDY) on 21 June 2018 with around 10,000 people practising the ancient Indian discipline at #Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka", it wrote on Twitter.
The word yoga originates from Yuja, a Sanskrit word which means, "to join or to unite", symbolizing the union of body and consciousness.
Further, in Cape Town, a group of young people performed yoga on its historic Table Mountain.
"It will thus be a responsible member of the community", he said, adding that the facility will also work to bring the benefit of yoga to all those who come here and contribute significantly to the wellness movement in the US. It has the best of our past and presents and a ray of hope for our future. School students also participated in yoga demonstrations.
"The gems of India's unique heritage, such as yoga, will be respected by the world at large only when we ourselves respect our culture and traditions", he said.
The Prime Minister had arrived here on Wednesday night to participate in the main event on the fourth International Yoga Day. The UN General Assembly declared June 21 as the International Yoga Day in 2014. The Culture Minister spoke at length about the positive aspects of Yoga for keeping body and mind totally stress-free.The Minister said, as a doctor he is practising Yoga for almost 30 years. Nor is yoga only what you practice in the morning.
