Wall was at the restaurant after taking his 16-year-old sister to her school's prom. From there, police were called to remove Wall, which led to him being choked, slammed, and led away in handcuffs. The Hill reports one of the employees then called the police, resulting in Wall's violent arrest.

Wall, who was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, has said he takes full responsibility for the argument with the eatery's employees.

'Your hands should have never been around my neck like that if my hands were in the air, ' said Wall.

We are now investigating the whole incident, interviewing witnesses and gathering additional video.

Travis Gettys is an editor for Raw Story. This comes the same day the State Bureau of Investigation announced it was investigating the incident.

The police did not make public the name of the officer captured on video, but Moss was later identified by civil rights activist Shaun King on Twitter.

Another black person has been attacked by the police in a Waffle House. Chikesia Clemons, 25, was wrestled to the ground by police at a Waffle House in Alabama in April.

"He could have de-escalated the situation and moved on", Moore said of the officer. With onlookers claiming "he's not supposed to be doing that", the officer is seen putting his hands around Wall's throat, who does not appear to be resisting arrest, before forcefully throwing him to the ground.

Warsaw Police Chief Eric Southerland declined to comment to NBC News on details of the investigation or the officer's actions, but said the internal review should be completed next week.

Wall later posted a video of his arrest to Facebook.

"We are aware of the video and now working on an investigation, following up based on the video posted, doing interviews, gathering video evidence", Southerland told the publication, noting that additional information would be released after the investigation wraps up. Starbucks apologized last month after an employee at a Philadelphia shop called police on two black men who were waiting for a colleague. It is unclear what happened directly before the physical altercation between Wall and the cop, but Wall told the News & Observer that his back was injured and he got a cut on his arm during the altercation. She tweeted a request to boycott the restaurant until the corporate office "legitimately and seriously commits to 1) discussion on racism, 2) employee training, and 3) other plans to change; and until they start to implement changes".
