The crash occurred just before 10 p.m. on Friday at a local training area on the base.
Two soldiers from the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, died when their AH-64E Apache helicopter crashed on the night of April 6.
The names of the victims have not been released.
The recovery operation are now ongoing on the crash site.
"This is a day of sadness for Fort Campbell and the 101st Airborne", acting Fort Campbell senior commander Brig. "Our thoughts and prayers are with the people during this complicated moment". Two soldiers have been killed in the crash, which occurred during routine training and is now under investigation.
A Marine jet also crashed in Djibouti on Tuesday.
A US Marine Corps helicopter crashed during training in Southern California on Tuesday.
A day later, seven service members died in an Air Force helicopter crash in Iraq.
At a Friday briefing, a Pentagon spokesperson refused to call the string of incidents a "wave" or "crisis". The pilot ejected in time and survived.
