In previous returning Overwatch events, such as the Year of the Dog event in February, gamers were able to play similar modes that were introduced in their earlier versions.
Like last year's event, players can expect some kind of new mode alongside a bevy of new skins, emotes, and more collectible items to unlock, while also getting a chance to experience a bit more of the backstory behind the game's set of characters and their history together. That's purely speculation at this point, but it seems clear that Blizzard means to indicate that there will be something new for Uprising in 2018.
Blizzard is preparing for its next big in-game event for the competitive online multiplayer shooter Overwatch.
This year's Uprising event needs to do a ideal job in explaining Blackwatch's focus and setting the ground for Talon's motives.
The game's official Twitter page tweeted a teaser of its return and #Blizzard Entertainment streamed a new trailer featuring event-only skins and missions.
The event will run from April 10 through 30, and pit you and three friends up against omnics running rampant through London.
Overwatch is now available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC! Teams finishing in the top four of the Open Division have the opportunity to progress to their region's Contenders Trials, where they can fight for a spot in Contenders, the tier of competition just beneath the Overwatch League itself. Blackwatch worked along Overwatch and helped carry out missions, but the information stops there.
