The U.S., France and Britain launched the strikes early Saturday morning, firing 105 missiles at three Syrian chemical weapons facilities - one in the capital of Damascus and two others near Homs, near the border with northern Lebanon.
At the meeting, the fifth in a week on chemical weapons in Syria, Russia and its supporters again clashed with the USA and its allies over a suspected poison gas attack on April 7 in the Damascus suburb of Douma.
The wave of missile strikes was the most significant attack against President Bashar al-Assad's government by Western powers in seven years of Syria's brutal civil war.

"We were apprised in advance of the operation", Trudeau told reporters at the end of a three-day visit to Peru.
In Damascus, Russia's news agencies reported that Assad told a group of Russian lawmakers that the Western missile strikes were an act of aggression. She says the USA was confident that they had "significantly degraded his ability to use chemical weapons ever again".
It seeks answers from Syria on gaps in its chemical weapons declaration to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. I support President Trump's limited action to target chemical weapons facilities and hold this brutal regime accountable.
