One of the most memorable moments in Academy Awards history happened at last year's show when Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway announced the wrong victor for the biggest award of the night, Best Picture.
The happy drama will finally close the circle of last year's still-unbelievable Oscar disaster in which Beatty received the wrong envelope to present the final best picture award with Dunaway. Emma Stone's La La Land card was in the envelope, leading Dunaway to assume that the Hollywood musical had scored the Best Picture honor.
Despite Faye announcing La La Land as the victor, once the producers were on stage, they revealed that the real victor after all was Moonlight. Reports suggest the pair are folding last year's snafu into their script, with Dunaway starting: "Presenting is better the second time around", before Beatty followed up with, "The victor is 'Gone with the Wind'".
As you probably remember, Warren and Faye came under fire when they read what was reportedly the wrong envelope. And we were, I won't say 'deer in the headlight, ' but you are completely stunned.
Last year's gaffe was mainly the mistake of PricewaterhouseCoopers, the accounting firm that the Oscars puts in charge of counting ballots and managing the envelopes. Not only did he handle this so graciously - and I'm not sure everybody would have in this situation - but he gave us the opportunity to get that shot. "People thought I was being dramatic but I wasn't", he told Daily Mail. Last year's host Jimmy Kimmel will also be returning (and has already made the mix-up his main joke).
