The Galaxy S9 Plus scored an impressive 99 points on DxOMark compared to 97 points for the iPhone X. Now, the company announced the latest Galaxy S series smartphones for this year which are also the latest flagship smartphones from the company at the MWC which was concluded last week and the devices have been named as the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus which is similar to the naming convention used last year. The rear camera system, which is capable of taking 4K video at 60 fps and 720p super-slow-motion video at 960 fps, has LED flash.
Samsung has been betting high on the Galaxy S9's camera as the USP of its flagship smartphone offerings for 2018.
When DxOMark reviewed the iPhone X, they praised its exposure, excellent color rendering, fast autofocus, noise reduction, and natural-looking bokeh effects.
Now, as you all may know that back in September 2017 iPhone X launched in the market. DxOMark conducts separate tests for photos and videos. The handset's Photo score is at 104, while its Video score is at 91. It garnered a Photo score of 101 and a Video score of 89. "The S9+ comes with a camera that hasn't got any obvious weaknesses and performs very well across all photo and video test categories", DxOMark noted in its report.
DxOMark said the S9 Plus strikes the right balance between detail preservation and noise reduction in low-light as well as daylight conditions, thanks to the variable aperture.
The Galaxy S9 main and secondary cameras are both rated at 12 megapixels.
The Galaxy S9 Plus's dual aperture helps the device take pictures with bright and vivid colors in most situations. The option of switching to the extra wide aperture of f/1.5 lets the smartphone capture crisp images even in extremely dimly-lit conditions. If you take a lot of photos in Portrait mode, the Galaxy S9 Plus is the best camera for you.
As far as the changes are concerned, we have known that the Galaxy S Plus variant comes with the bigger display than the S variant which is the case with Galaxy S9 Plus and S9 as well.
