A familiar face to fans of "Chicago Fire" is being mourned, with The Chicago Tribune reporting that actress DuShon Monique Brown passed away on Friday. The office also told reporters that Brown died at St. James Olympia Field Hospital in Chicago shortly after noon on Friday, March 23.
Robert Schroeder, DuShon's manager, also shared his sentiments regarding the fallen star. A post mortem has been scheduled.

She was a film, television actress who took to the stage of Chicago theatres and enthralled the audiences with her ever cherished performances.
E! News can confirm that the coroner has an autopsy scheduled for tomorrow and the cause of death has yet to be revealed.
Her other credits include the U.S. version of "Shameless", where she played Teresa, and a guest role in "Empire".
On Prison Break, she stared as Nurse Katie Welch across the first two seasons. "What was exciting was [I] was auditioning for a Chicago show, but it was also the possibility that she could maybe develop into something".

DuShon had a background in social work and a Masters in Counseling.
Brown also starred in a made for TV movie titled "Public Housing Unit" about Chicago cops. the project is set to premiere later this year. She once worked as a crisis counselor and led the Drama Starz Program at Kenwood Academy High School.
She is survived by her daughter.
