Chelsea were second best against 10-man Leicester at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, but managed to at least claim a point from a 0-0 draw.

Antonio Conte's men are now in third place in the Premier League table and 15 points behind leaders Manchester City after 22 games of the new campaign.

A comfortable victory against Leicester with Morata among the goals would get Chelsea nicely back on track ahead of the midweek FA Cup replay with Norwich and trips to Brighton in the league, then Arsenal for the decisive second leg of that Carabao Cup semifinal.

Leicester meanwhile will come afresh into the match after playing a 0-0 draw against Fleetwood in FA Cup 3rd round on January 6.

"They are champions and at home, so it was good to see my team with this quality on the pitch and all the chances we created".

He said: "I have another year of (my) contract with this club".

In contrast to Chelsea's lethargy, Leicester were electric, particularly Jamie Vardy, who harried the Blues' defenders, and in-form Riyad Mahrez, whose deflected shot nearly caught out Thibaut Courtois after the Belgian had been at full stretch to parry Ndidi's header.

"I have a lot of experience to deal with this type of situation (reports of a rumoured frustration)", said Conte.

Chelsea starting XI: Courtois; Azpilicueta, Cahill, Rudiger; Moses, Bakayoko, Kante, Fabregas, Alonso; Hazard, Morata.

"In this case we have two solutions".

There was a major injury concern for Chelsea as 33 minutes in club captain Gary Cahill pulled up with a hamstring injury after chasing down Vardy.

For the third game running, Chelsea failed to find the net and supporters are suddenly beginning to turn on manager Antonio Conte as it's the first time in the club's history that they've drawn three consecutive games 0-0.

Further doubts have been cast over David Luiz's future at Chelsea as the Brazilian was only named on the bench despite Conte's rotation. "He played for the national team and is scoring with regularity in this league and is a good player but I am talking about him because you ask me, and not the transfer market".

Since losing to Man City in September, Chelsea have won each of their last seven home Premier League games, shipping just three goals and keeping five clean sheets in that time.
