Areas south of Atlanta will see a half inch to two inches of rain. The National Weather Service predicts accumulations of 4-6 inches and ice accumulations, making road conditions hazardous. Southern New Hampshire was expected to see some snow early Saturday afternoon. Benji's snowfall is slowing down in Texas Friday morning and moving toward the Gulf Coast and the Mid-Atlantic.
The Baltimore area could see one to four inches. Heavy snow could fall there Sunday morning through Sunday night.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in place for Hillsborough County and surrounding areas starting 11 a.m. on December 9 until 3 p.m. December 10. In summary, the higher amounts and the longest duration of light snow is expected east and southeast. "Reports of 3" or more snow accumulation have come from these areas.
The winter storm warning is in effect until 6 a.m. Sunday.
Although much of the snow is now falling off the Eastern Seaboard, according to the National Weather Service, a front in the Great Lakes and another in the Gulf Coast will merge later and impact the region this afternoon and tonight. Washington, D.C., can expect one to three inches, while the rest of the Northeast, from eastern Pennsylvania, central to northern New Jersey, and NY to ME will likely see three to five inches this weekend.
