Asus has launched a new smartphone Zenfone Max Plus (M1) in Russian Federation.

The ZenFone Max Plus (M1) seems to be rebranded Pegasus 4S for global markets as both the smartphones sport similar design and specs.

Coming to the specifications of the device, the front panel features a 5.7 inch FullHD+ resolution with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The screen is shielded by 2.5D curved glass. Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor and Gyroscope. The device is powered by a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor along with Mali T860MP2 GPU, which is the same setup that is found on the Zenfone 3s Max. Moreover, the Asus ZenFone Max Plus (M1) will also be equipped with dual cameras on the rear.

The Asus Zenfone Max Plus (M1) is powered by a 4,130mAh battery. In case you are wondering, storage expansion is possible up to 256GB using microSD card.

The front gets an 8MP selfie shooter with a f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide angle lens that helps take group selfies. Up front, Asus has added an 8MP front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The smartphone sports a dual-camera setup at the rear with the combination 16-megapixel and an 8-megapixel sensor. In terms of network connectivity, the device comes with 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and Global Positioning System. The availability details for other markets and pricing of the device are still under wraps, however our guess is that the device is likely to be a mid-range model. The smartphone also comes pre-loaded with Asus' PowerMaster that is claimed to increase the battery life by two times.

The Zenfone Max Plus (M1) runs ZenUI 4.0 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and will be available in Deep Sea Black, Sunlight Gold and Azure Silver colour options.
